Step 1: Introduction

Introduce the game to the students.

Slides

Create max. 10 teams with 4 students per team.

The game works fine, if you have classes with maximum 40 students, because we have 10 cities. A team with 3 students means, one student has to do double work, Teams with 5 students mean, one student has nothing to do.

Assign one of the cities to each team:

  • Freiburg
  • Heidelberg
  • Karlsruhe
  • Wiesbaden
  • Friedrichshafen
  • Darmstadt
  • Kaiserslautern (ID: 1)
  • Ludwigshafen
  • Ulm (ID: 14)
  • Ludwigsburg (for lecturer)

Open the link http://wp04.bi-academy.eu - Get a BIA User (Students) from the bottom line of www.bi-academy.eu and let the students pick an username and password.

We have created a database for each of your students on our servers.

Let the students login to http://www.bi-academy.eu with username and password from above. Please note that the licence key is required.

We respect the EU General Data Protection Regulation coming into effect on 25th May 2018. We don't store any privacy data. We are a government organization and non-profit. No student's name nor email addresses are required to access our teaching material.

Therefore, we have generated a set of usernames and password from which the students may pick one.

If an email address is entered, we will send the username and password to that email address. The data will be deleted after the licence key has expired.

After the login, the students have to set the field BI Game > Enter your City to the city you assigned to a team.

Then, let the students check, if all Hands-Ons are visible. At least, Knowledge Base and BI Serious Game should be visible.
