Step 1: Introduction
Introduce the game to the students.

Create max. 10 teams with 4 students per team.
The game works fine, if you have classes with maximum 40 students, because we have 10 cities.
A team with 3 students means, one student has to do double work, Teams with 5 students mean, one student has nothing to do.
Assign one of the cities to each team:
Login to the admin application, get the user names and let the students pick one username and password.
We pass a scissor and the list with the user names around the class. The students cut a line off the paper

We have created a database for each of your students on our servers.
Let the students login to http://www.bi-academy.eu with username and password from above.
We respect the EU General Data Protection Regulation coming into effect on 25th May 2018. We don't store any privacy data. We are a government organization and non-profit. No student's name nor email addresses are required to access our teaching material.
After the login, the students have to set the field BI Game > Enter your City to the city you assigned to a team.
Then, let the students check, if all Hands-Ons are visible.
Step 2: Create and Present your Business Plan

The students should work through the guideline BI Serious Game → Create a Business Plan and prepare a 15 min. presentation with 8 slides.
Step 3: Implement the Business Plan
The student can now enter their data in our ERP system. Therefor, the game has to be open so that students can insert data.
Logon to the admin componente and open the BI game for the bookings.
The game is now open and the students can enter their data.
The students should work through the guideline BI Serious Game → Hire Staff, Rent Location, Do Marketing, Procure Bicycles .
Step 4: Multidimensional Modelling
Next, each student has to create the Data Mart. The data mart contains 4 models:
Sales Data Mart
Costs Data Mart
Stock Data Mart
Marketing Data Mart

There is a fallback / solution at the bottom of the hands-ons section. BI-Game-Fallback –> Modelling (FastTrack)
Admin: Run the Data Generator
Next, you can generate the data for the coming year.

Select RUN GAME > Run Stored Procedures
Click on the icon left to Generate data for each store. Game will be locked!
Click on SAVE.
Select VIEW GAME > View System Message and check, if the stored procedure was successful.

Click on the icon left to Unlock Game!
Click on SAVE.
Select VIEW GAME > View System Message and check, if the stored procedure was successful.
Step 9: Run the Data Generator again
Next, you can generate the data for the coming year again.
